CMS Australasia
Long-term development and modernization of an internal ERP platform
CMS Australasia uses a comprehensive internal ERP platform to support the daily work of several hundred employees. The system covers employee management, timesheets, orders, invoicing, budgets, reporting and financial analysis.
My role
I have worked on the platform as a Senior Full-Stack Developer since 2015, contributing across the full application stack, architecture, integrations, performance, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Key contributions
- Developing and maintaining functionality across the ERP platform
- Gradually moving functionality from a CakePHP monolith to REST APIs
- Building employee management, timesheet and automated reporting modules
- Implementing audit logs, queued email delivery and granular permissions
- Integrating the platform with Current RMS
- Migrating applications and services to Docker
- Delivering extensive UX and performance improvements
Results
The platform supports the everyday work of several hundred employees and continues to evolve alongside the company’s needs.
